Raised as a military brat - I've either lived in or traveled to all 50 states and lived overseas (Philippines) when in Jr High during the 1960s. Chuck Yeager was stationed at Clark AB and I attended school with his 2 daughters. For those non-boomers, Yeager was the first human to break the sound barrier and is a living legend among aviators.
Consider my "home" region as Seattle/Tacoma since we moved there after Dad retired (his hometown is Port Townsend). Finished HS and college in Tacoma but I attended 6 different school districts for 1-12. Both parents were Washington state natives - Mom (Centralia) and Dad (Port Townsend).
Never went to kindergarten - I started 1st grade at a Texas (El Paso) private school while age 5.
As far as modeling, got my start at age 12 flying CL while stationed overseas with my family in the Philippines. Also built/flew a Sterling Minnie Mamba ½A trainer on 27MHtz single channel escapement. Short lived venture into RC...
