 Re: 2011--Turkey Fly
Friday is also a no-go for me. I'll be the only one of our section of 5 geeks at work. Probably won't be much going on but have to be there anyway. Bus & light rail service will be limited and our cafeteria won't have any hot food.
Bah! Humbug!

 Re: 2011--Turkey Fly
Wow, sounds like it will be a lonely day out at the field - and perfect flying weather too! I'll be there....

Lots of turkeys out there, but it didn't look like any of them could fly.

Sorry I missed it. Hope you had good weather. The weather up north was very nice and I had nothing with to fly .

 Re: 2011--Turkey Fly
Thanks to all who came, and those who wanted to but couldn't. For the last event of the season, the weather was great.
Chuck
P.S.
Next event is the Freeze Fly on first of January. Get the ski's on (or floats if you have them) and lets hope we have better weather then last year.

 Re: 2011--Turkey Fly
you must have picked it up, I went out at 2pm and found a napkin, when I was leaving I see a round POS muffler laying on the edge of the corn field, I'll grab it the next time, I didn't have room this time.
I got a few flights in b4 the conditions went IFR.

 Re: 2011--Turkey Fly
I must have missed the one of the napkins ... I did find the half of my folding prop that departed suddenly on climbout after a low pass.

Speaking of low passes, i was out at the field last week and no one was there but i dedided to get a few flights in and see if anyone else would show up. I did a steep dive with my Multiplex electric hot liner glider and pulled it out on high rates. It was assume! Ripped the wing clear off.!
